  Christine “Shimo” Shimasaki, CDME, CMP, is managing director of empowerMINT.com and event impact calculator at Destination Marketing Association International. Christine joined Destination Marketing Association International (DMAI) in 2009 and brings more than16 years of destination marketing and 10 years of hotel experience to her role.

Shimo has been named a #CMP30 Influencer by Convention Industry Council, one of the “25 Most Influential People in the Meetings Industry” by Successful Meetings, and a “Meeting Trendsetter” by MeetingsFocus.
  Rose Horcher, CEM, CMP, is vice president, client services for Choose Chicago. Rose joined Choose Chicago as managing director, client services in July of 2005. Her experience working for various tradeshow and hospitality industry organizations provides a great diversity of experiences and an understanding of our large convention clients’ needs critical for her position. In 2011, she was promoted to vice president, client services and currently manages Choose Chicago’s eight member, award winning Services team. Under Rose’s guidance, the CS team has become an integral extension of every city-wide convention client, serving as the main liaison between convention clients and anything they need outside of the confines of their convention space.

Terri Roberts, director of training and communications for Destination Marketing Association International's empowerMINT.com, joined DMAI in 2010. Terri brings more than 25 years of hospitality industry experience to her role. She has held previous positions with Marriott Hotels and Resorts and the San Diego Convention and Visitors Bureau, in both a director of sales and regional director of training capacity. In her role with DMAI, Terri creates webinars, interviews, blogs and designs training sessions to help planners and CVBs to get the most from their partnership.
